Elmi Architecture Studio is an architecture and technical consultancy based in Djibouti, with over 10 years of experience and more than 20 projects, from public buildings to museum spaces.
Architecture in dialogue with the climate
Based in Djibouti, we know the climatic, social and economic realities of the country. We systematically apply bioclimatic principles: orientation and natural ventilation, thermal protection, structural inertia, daylight control and a careful choice of materials.
Familiar with local procedures, with the planning authority (DATUH) as with the building control laboratory (LCBE), we anticipate regulatory constraints and keep costs under control at every stage, balancing architectural quality, technical feasibility and budget.

Two firms, one team
Elmi Architecture Studio and the engineering firm Challenge Etudes carry out all their projects together: architecture and project leadership on one side, all-trades engineering on the other — one integrated team under a single lead.
Challenge Etudes
Structures (reinforced concrete, steel), roads and utilities, electrical, plumbing, energy efficiency, cost engineering and technical audits of existing buildings.
